Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup Black Sesame Seeds
  • 1/4 cup White Sesame Seeds
  • 2 pounds Sashimi Grade Ahi Tuna cut in half to make 4 steaks
  • to taste salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Canola Oil

Instructions
  1. In a shallow dish, combine the two types of sesame seeds and stir together to mix.
  2. Season the ahi with salt and pepper and then roll the steaks in the sesame seed mixture to coat.
  3. In a non stick pan, heat the oil until its almost smoking. Place the steaks of ahi in the pan for about 1 minute per side, or until the white sesame seeds start to brown.
  4. Turn the ahi steaks over and do the same on the other side.
  5. Transfer the ahi steaks to a cutting board and with a very sharp knife, slice into 1/4 inch slices. Then serve immediately.
